ABOUT

Like life, my work is unpredictable and changes to reflect my experiences. It is a reflection of what it means to be human—unique, dynamic, beautiful, and strong in our many imperfections. My surroundings and the beauty found in nature are a constant source of inspiration. Each one-of-a-kind piece is designed to be timeless and wearable, while celebrating the earth and the individuals who wear it.

My passion for design and jewelry began at a very early age, growing up in an artistically rich environment with parents who were jewelers (D & D Design). Spending countless hours in their studio watching them work, taught me the value of craftsmanship helping to influence my vision and ethics. This led to creating my first own line of one-of-a-kind rings and earrings. I've returned to this first love after a career in the Bay Area tech industry.

I make every piece of my jewelry in a small garden studio in the San Francisco Bay Area.

MY WORK

All of my jewelry is one-of-a-kind, designed and hand fabricated in my studio using100% recycled metals and ethically sourced stones, fossils and pearls. Every stone is hand selected for its quality, color and unique intrinsic characteristics. The beauty and individuality of each stone guide my designs.

Starting with sheet metal and wire, I use various hand tools and an oxygen-propane torch to employ basic old world traditional hand fabrication techniques to bring the design to life. Bezels are individually constructed for each stone.

Hand fabrication is the only method in which a piece of jewelry is truly handcrafted from scratch. It is much more time consuming and labor intensive, making it harder to find. I love transforming these raw materials into a dimensional form and am proud to be carrying on this ancient tradition that is being lost to modern technology and mass production.

SUSTAINABILITY

I am committed to minimizing environmental impact through the use of recycled and sustainable materials, ethically sourced gemstones, applying energy-efficient practices, and environmentally responsible business practices.

Recycled Precious Metals

100% of metal used is recycled.

All scrap metal is recycled or melted down to be reused.

Ethical Gemstones

I only use all natural gemstones that have been ethically-sourced and sustainably mined. None have been treated or dyed.

I am strongly committed to knowing where each stone originates, working with gem dealers that support fair trade and are close in the supply chain to the source.

Eco-Friendly Studio

Non-toxic chemical alternatives are used wherever possible. I diligently practice recycling and composting, use recycled paper and try to avoid plastic.
